Platelet Society meeting

This meeting will bring together senior and junior scientists in an informal atmosphere to discuss the latest research covering a broad range of topics in platelet and megakaryocyte biology, from basic science to recent advances in clinical studies.

LabMedUK24

LabMedUK24 will bring two days of high quality science. An excellent programme covers the big picture thinking, new science and updates on key areas. This is preceded by a training day for Clinical Biochemistry and Microbiology trainees on 10 June, offering an important way for trainees to meet their peers as well as to learn.

HM-JACKarc FIT User Group Meeting
On 13th September 2022, Alpha Laboratories held a user group meeting in Birmingham.
This exclusive event brought together laboratory users to share a wealth of knowledge and experience. It provided the perfect opportunity for them to network with fellow users and to exchange views and ideas about their experience of using Faecal Immunochemical Testing in their clinics or laboratories.
ACB Focus
On 7th June at ACB Focus 2018, Alpha Laboratories sponsored a workshop: ‘FIT to Practice?’ which was chaired by Professor Callum Fraser and presented by Nigel D’Souza and Sally Benton. Nigel D’Souza presented preliminary data on the NICE FIT study, the largest multi-centre FIT trial in England, whilst Sally Benton discussed the technical capabilities and clinical outcomes from FIT Testing in the symptomatic.

Digestive Diseases Day
On the 15th November 2017 Alpha Laboratories held a Digestive Diseases Day workshop in Birmingham. This educational day brought together experts in the field to discuss recent advances in clinical diagnostics for gastroenterology, covering symptomatic FIT and faecal calprotectin implementation.
